Phone as key

Hello all,
So this happened....I used phone as key to leave my house and travel to a meeting. After meeting, going back to my ME the "phone as key feature" would not work. The Alert was "no key detected". Leaving me stranded and unable to unlock the car. I have had the car one month and had no issues with phone as key until then. Now I don't trust it and feel I need the key fob also. Has this happened to anyone else? Don't know what I did wrong. Any insight would be appreciated.

Yikes. That sounds terrible. Curious, was bluetooth enabled on your phone when you got back to your car? Probably was, but just checking.

I use my phone as key. I recently had a similar situation. I could unlock car, but not start the vehicle. No key detected was shown.

I called Ford customer service and they walked me through deleting and reactivating my phone as key. It seems that when the iPhone software is updated it can mess with the phone as key. So now, whenever I update my iPhone I reactivate my phone as key.
